Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown,will serve a dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The meal consists of chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. Cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available at 11 a.m.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato with cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Cost is $6 per dozen. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday; no containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-in orders are welcome. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

SATURDAY

Boy Scouts of America Troop 2 is sponsoring its annual spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 244 S. Broadway Ave., Salem. Dinners will include meatballs, salad, bread, coffee, tea or punch and homemade dessert. Adult tickets are $7; children 6 and under will eat for free. Carryouts and delivery will be available. Tickets can be purchased from troop members or at the door.

Braceville United Methodist Church, off state Route 82, will host a stuffed pork chop dinner from 4 to 6:30 or until sold out. The dinner includes mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, coleslaw, applesauce, homemade desserts, bread, coffee, tea or punch. The prices are $9 for adults and $3.50 for children. Takeouts are available.

Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., will host a turkey dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The dinner includes homemade dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable, coleslaw, cranberry sauce, bread, dessert and beverage. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children 5 to 12; children under 5 eat for free. Carryout will be available.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will serve an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. for a donation. Items include eggs, pancakes, French toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. St. Joseph the Provider School in St. Anthony of Padua Church complex, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, is hosting a steak fry from 4 to 8 p.m. The menu comprises 12-ounce strip steak, potato, salad, vegetable, dessert and beverage for $15 each. SUNDAY

Girard High School First Robotics Team is sponsoring a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the school cafeteria, 1244 Shannon Road. Tickets will be $5 per person and are available from team members and at the door. The breakfast includes sausage, milk, juice, coffee and all-you-can-eat pancakes. A 50-50 raffle also will take place.

Historic Lutheran Church of St. John, 1429 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, will have its Oktoberfest Buffet and gift basket raffle. Food will be served at noon in the Colonial Room and will feature roast pork, sauerkraut, German potato salad, mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce, desserts and beverages. Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church Social Hall, 252 E. Adults cost $7 and children 12 and under cost $4.50, extra meatballs, pop or bottled water will be 50 cents each. Takeouts are available, containers will be provided. Quarts of chicken noodle soup and potato dumpling soup, and homemade vanilla and anise pizzelles will be available for purchase.

Western Mahoning County Kiwanis Club’s annual Swiss steak dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield.
