Flu vaccine

The Mahoning County District Board of Health will be administering the flu vaccine at the following locations: Boardman Township Government Building, 8299 Market St., 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today; Berlin Township Building (Weidenmier House), 15801 Akron-Canfield Road, Berlin Center, 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday; and Lake Milton Fire Station, 15980 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, noon to 2 p.m. Thursday.

No appointment is necessary during clinic hours.

Most private insurances will be accepted. Take insurance cards, Medicare and Medicaid cards so the cost of the vaccine can be billed. The quadrivalent flu shot, the nasal spray or the trivalent intradermal flu vaccine cost is $30. High-dose trivalent flu vaccine will be available for those 65 and older for $50.

Special meeting

BELOIT

West Branch school board will host a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. today in the West Branch High School media center, 14277 Main St.

The meeting’s purpose is to consider a resolution declaring it necessary to raise annually an additional amount for school-district purposes and requesting the Ohio Tax Commissioner to estimate the respective rates at which it would be necessary to levy a property tax and a school-district income tax to produce that amount. Action will be taken.

Halloween party

Beaver Township Parks Kids’ Halloween party at 6 p.m. Thursday has been moved to the administration building, 11999 South Ave., due to the possibility of inclement weather.
