Copeland Oaks celebrates 50th anniversary today


SEBRING — Copeland Oaks, a retirement and senior assisted-living facility, 800 S. 15th St., will have a special Founder’s Day recognition program beginning at 2 p.m. today in honor of its 50-year anniversary.

The program will be in Murphy Auditorium with Bishop John L. Hopkins as the guest speaker. Bishop Hopkins oversees the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church.

The mayor of Sebring and other local politicians will be on hand and will briefly address the group. The program will end with the opening of the time capsule from 50 years ago.
