Youngstown Park and Rec Commission has public meeting Thursday

YOUNGSTOWN — The city’s park and recreation commission will have a public meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Covelli Centre’s community room to discuss the park system and a recent study on the department’s properties.

There is a charter amendment on the Nov. 5 ballot to eliminate the commission, created in 1935.
