A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Oct. 14

Warrant: Police arrested Dennis Piper, 46, of Akron on an active warrant out of Canfield Mayor’s Court for failure to appear.

Warrant: Police arrested Robert Bennett Jr., 45, of Akron on an active warrant from Canfield Mayor’s Court for failure to appear.

Oct. 15

Warrant: Police arrested Jason Berdella, 35, of Louisville, Ohio, on a warrant out of Canfield Mayor’s Court for failure to appear.

Sick raccoon: A sick raccoon was put down in the 300 block of Overbrook Drive.

Oct. 17

Arrest: Police arrested Mary Clark, 32, of Henn Hyde Road, Warren, for wrongful entrustment, and Kevin Clark, 29, same address, for driving a vehicle while under a child-support suspension and driving an unsafe vehicle.

Oct. 20

Warrant: Police arrested Jerry Franklin, 22, of East Myrtle Avenue, Youngstown, on a warrant out of Youngstown on a charge of driving under suspension.

Oct. 14

Auto theft: A 2012 Honda Accord was reported stolen from a home in the 2000 block of Vollmer Drive.

Telecommunications harassment: Calls from an ex-wife were reported at a home in the 1000 block of North Beverly Avenue.

Telecommunications harassment: A male caller was making harassing calls at The Upstairs, 4500 Mahoning Ave.

Disorderly conduct: Police issued a summons to Peter Larkin, 53, of West Hampton Drive, for disorderly conduct.

Theft: A suspect fled on foot after a theft at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Police arrested Michael Shellow, 30, of Maplecrest Drive, No. 1, on a warrant for failure to appear for arraignment.

Burglary: Televisions were taken from a home in the 3000 block of Allendale Avenue.

Warrant: Police arrested Nicole Russell, 30, of South Raccoon Road, Apt. B-15, on a warrant for failure to appear for trial.

Theft: A male suspect stole a friend’s tools from a home in the 40 block of South Edgehill Avenue.

Oct. 15

Theft: Police issued a summons to Keith Hawkins, 34, of Woodside Avenue, Youngstown, for theft from his employer, Walmart, for using merchandise receipts for returns to steal $100.

Theft: An employee of Seventh Generation Ventures, 600 N. Meridian Road, dumped several phone books in Youngstown that he had taken from Seventh Generation.

Aggravated menacing: A female was threatened by a male who said he would rape her at a home in the 100 block of North Canfield-Niles Road.

Assault: A female claims someone sprayed her with a chemical repellent at Taco Bell/Long John Silvers, 850 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Warrant: Police arrested Jorell Gibbs, 32, of Purdue Avenue, on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic violation.

Burglary: A television and an Xbox were taken from a home in the 100 block of North Main Street.

Bad check: A bad check was passed at Habegger Corp., 1098 N. Meridian Road.

Obstructing official business: Police issued a summons to Victoria Malley, 57, of South Raccoon Road, for obstructing official business and resisting arrest.

Warrant: Police arrested Nicholas Olesky, 23, of Country Trail, on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Domestic violence: Police arrested Dennis Sklenchar, 20, of Staatz Drive, on a charge of domestic violence.

Oct. 16

Disorderly conduct: Police arrested Monica Bates, 48, of South Turner Road, on charges of disorderly conduct with intoxication and failure to cease and desist.

Disturbance: The store owner was involved in a disturbance at Uptown Auto Service, 4801 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Three females stole $1,000 in baby formula from Walmart.

Warrant: Police arrested David Buttermore, 49, of Westview Drive, Boardman, on a warrant for permitting drug abuse.

Drug charges: Police arrested Joseph Yohn, 45, of Lucretia Lane, Columbiana, for permitting drug abuse, possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Lost or stolen property: A wallet was reported stolen at Marc’s, 4755 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: There is a suspect for the criminal damaging at a home in the 3000 block of Forest Hill Drive.

Oct. 17

Burglary: An Xbox and jewelry were taken from a home in the 1000 block of Yolanda Place.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 6000 block of New Road.

Auto theft: An ex-employee took a 2000 Ford Taurus from Steeltown Motors, 6617 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A stolen cellphone was reported at Sprint, 5507 Mahoning Ave.

Telecommunications harassment: There is a suspect in telecommunications harassment of a person living in a home in the 400 block of Southwood Drive.

Oct. 18

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 4000 block of Nottingham Avenue.

Theft: Medication was taken from a home in the 100 block of North Beverly Avenue.

Theft: Two men took several items from the Sheetz Gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Jewelry was taken by a home-improvement employee from a home in the 4000 block of Idlewood Road.

Identity theft: Two accounts were opened in the victim’s name with a total of $1,034 in charges. The victim lives in a home in the 5000 block of Yorktown Lane.

Oct. 19

Criminal damaging: A vehicle window was damaged at Mahoning Avenue and Fitch Boulevard.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Rhode Island Drive.

Domestic violence: Police arrested Ryan Stevens, 31, of North Raccoon Road, Apt. F93, for domestic violence.

Theft: Five charges were made on a stolen credit card at Speedway, 4401 Kirk Road.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Ricky Williams, 20, of Applecrest Drive, Boardman, for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Oct. 20

Warrant: Police arrested Adron McGuire, 27, of Shaker Heights, on a warrant for failure to appear on a driving-under-suspension charge.

Warrant: Police arrested Joshua West, 32, of South Raccoon Road, Apt. 90, on a warrant for theft.

Auto theft: A 2005 Ford was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive and later towed by Youngstown police.

Theft: A Walmart gift card valued at $103 was dropped in the parking lot and taken by an unidentified man.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Chris Huntley, 22, of South Raccoon Road, Apt. G-47, for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Amber Jones, 35, of Chestnut Street, Leetonia, for possession of drug paraphernalia, and a summons to Arkisha Pearce, 34, of West Ravenwood Avenue, Youngstown, for possession of drug paraphernalia (syringes), possession of dangerous drugs, cocaine and drug-abuse instruments.
