Anti-bullying event Wednesday at Eastwood Mall


NILES — The Eastwood Mall, 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road, is teaming up with Malls and Retailers Unite Against Bullying to bring attention to October as National Bullying Prevention Month.

Captain McFinn and Friends is sponsoring the event. More than 100 malls across America are participating.

The Eastwood Mall will participate with an Anti-Bullying Pledge Signing at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the mall’s center court.

Trumbull County Commissioners Frank Fuda and Dan Polivka, as well Niles Superintendent Frank Danso, will be in attendance. The intent is to bring educators and policy-makers together for the bullying prevention cause.

Head football coaches and team captains from Niles, Howland, Girard, Mooney and Harding High Schools will also attend.
