A traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C., is in Cincinnati for the first time this weekend.

The memorial, known as The Wall That Heals, has visited more than 350 cities and towns nationwide and opened up at Cincinnati’s Union Terminal on Friday.

It’s open through today.

Memorial officials say it’s designed for “the many thousands of veterans who have been unable to cope with the prospect of facing The Wall [in Washington] to find the strength to do so within their own communities.”

At 250 feet wide, the memorial is a half-scale replica of the D.C. version. It lists the names of more than 58,000 American service members killed in the Vietnam War.
