Bishop George V. Murry will celebrate a special Mass at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist in Canton at 2 p.m. Sunday to mark the wedding anniversaries of 120 couples who are being honored for a total of 5,426 years of wedded life ranging from 25 to 71 years. A reception hosted by the St. John Guild will be in the School Hall for the honored couples and their families after the Mass. Stanley and Anna Mae Duff, parishioners of St. Anthony/All Saints Parish in Canton, are the longest-married couple, celebrating 71 years of marriage, and Chester and Sylvia Dimmerling, parishioners of the Basilica of St. John the Baptist in Canton, are the second-longest with 69 years of marriage. Other couples celebrating will be: 35 couples married 51-70 years; 30 couples married 50 years; 31 couples will observe 40 years; and 24 couples will mark 25 years.
