Route 11 truck crash

FOWLER

A 6:15 a.m. single-vehicle tractor-trailer crash on state Route 11 just north of King-Graves Road caused southbound traffic on Route 11 to be diverted Friday morning.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the truck driver, Thomas J. Durkin, 42, of Erie, Pa., was taken to St. Joseph Health Center in Warren for treatment of minor injuries.

He traveled off the left side of the road and into the center median, then overturned while trying to get back on the roadway, the patrol said. The truck completely blocked both southbound lanes. Traffic was re-routed onto state Route 305.

Durkin was hauling General Motors parts for Falcon Transport of Youngstown.

One lane of the highway was reopened at 9:45 a.m., and the second lane reopened by early afternoon.
