'Taste of the Town' event is Monday in New Castle

NEW CASTLE, PA.
The annual “Taste of the Town” event will be at the New Englander Banquet Center on Wilmington Road from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Joanne Preston, Preston Auto Group, is event chairwoman. Proceeds benefit the Lawrence County United Way campaign.
Participating restaurants and businesses are The Crane Room, Faraone Brothers, Gallo’s Italian Villa, Bruster’s Real Ice Cream, Marlowe’s Coffee Service, Mona’s Chocolates, Medure’s Catering, The Iron Bridge, Giant Eagle, Springfield Grille, Bob Evans Restaurant, King’s Restaurant, Pizza Joe’s, The Crane Room, El Canelo, Bethie’s Bake Shoppe and Benefield’s.
The Lawrence County Career and Technical Center Culinary and Art Division students are donating time to make signage, host and serve at the event. Local businesses donated door prizes and participating businesses donated gift certificates. Additionally, the Pittsburgh Steelers donated an autographed football by defensive lineman Brett Keisel.
