CANFIELD

Sept. 26

Drug possession: Police arrested Evan Smith, 22, of Kings Lane, Canfield, on charges of possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possessing drug abuse instruments.

Sept. 27

Assault: Police arrested Frank Kolesar, 22, of Brookpark Drive, Canfield.

Oct. 4

Illegal dumping: Someone threw a mattress into the trash receptacle for Broad Street Storage, 480 S. Broad St.

Oct. 7

Drug abuse: Police arrested Michael Nixon, 25, of Meadow Wood, Uniontown, Ohio, for drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Oct. 9

Warrant: Police arrested Dartanian Watkins, 23, of Midway Avenue, Canton, on a warrant for failure to appear at Canfield Mayor’s Court.

Drug abuse: Police arrested John Buccini, 40, of Fatima Drive, Campbell, for drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Oct. 10

Warrant: Police arrested Jordan Perry, 19, of Townsend Avenue, Girard, on a warrant from Canfield Mayor’s Court for failure to appear.

Warrant: Police arrested Pamela George, 48, of Fox Run Drive, Boardman, on a warrant from Canfield Mayor’s Court for failure to appear.

AUSTINTOWN

Oct. 7

Warrant: Police arrested Ross Vaughn, 27, of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Youngstown, on a warrant for receiving stolen property.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Cody Hahn, 29, of Mahoning Avenue, Youngstown, for possession of drug-abuse instruments.

Disorderly conduct: Police issued a summons to David Bernard, 18, of Pinecrest Avenue, for disorderly conduct.

Telecommunications harassment: A woman was receiving harassing text messages at a home in the 4000 block of Staatz Drive.

Oct. 8

Drug possession: Police issued a summons to Cheryl Durig, 54, of Silica Road, North Jackson, for possession of drug paraphernalia for marijuana and possession of dangerous drugs.

Theft: A 50-inch LG television was stolen from Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Unauthorized charges on a stolen credit card were reported at Get-Go, 5163 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: An insurance check was stolen from a home in the 1000 block of Fountain Square Drive.

Recovered property: A black bicycle was recovered in the 1000 block of North Navarre Avenue.

Criminal damaging: The back window to a vehicle was broken out at Walgreen’s, 3800 Tippecanoe Road.

Oct. 9

Criminal damaging: Damage to a bench and pavilion roof were reported at Austintown Township Park, 6000 Kirk Road.

Fraud: Fraud was reported at Walmart.

Recovered property: A bicycle was recovered at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: A television and computer were taken after forced entry at a home in the 200 block of South Navarre Avenue.

Theft: A jacket and shoes were taken at Austintown Middle School, 800 S. Raccoon Road.

Burglary: Lawn equipment was stolen from an attached garage at a home in the 3000 block of Burkey Road.

Theft: A laptop was taken from a home in the 5000 block of Tulane Avenue.

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted calls were reported at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Identity theft: A credit card was opened in a man’s name without his knowledge. The man lives in an apartment in the 6000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Oct. 10

Theft: Pills were stolen at a home in the 5000 block of Staatz Drive.

Oct. 11

Summons: Police issued a summons to Johnathan Alexander, 40, of Allendale Avenue, Youngstown, for obstructing official business.

Theft: An iPad was taken from a picnic table at Austintown Township Park.

Warrant: Police arrested Arnasia Stokes, 18, of Warren, on a warrant for complicity to theft.

Oct. 12

Criminal trespassing: Police arrested Sara McManis, 32, of Arden Boulevard, Youngstown, on a warrant for failure to comply, and a charge of criminal trespassing, and Robert Tovarnack, 45, of East Midlothian Boulevard, Youngstown, was arrested for criminal trespassing at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.

Theft: Items were stolen at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Lost or stolen: A female employee reported a lost or stolen wedding ring at Ruby Tuesday, 5555 Mahoning Ave.

Fraud: A bogus account was opened at a home in the 300 block of Dehoff Drive.

Theft: A child’s father stole his stepfather’s phone at a home in the 4000 block of Aspen Drive.

Oct. 13

Aggravated trespassing: Police arrested Brian Romine, 33, of Miller Street, Warren, on charges of violation of a protection order, aggravated trespassing, criminal damaging, criminal tools and menacing by stalking at a home in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.

Theft: Several DVDs were stolen at Giant Eagle by thieves driving a 2002 gray Windstar.

Recovered property: An iPhone was recovered at a home in the 2000 block of Vollmer Drive. It had been stolen in West Virginia.
