Involuntary manslaughter plea in man’s death

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and other charges in the death of a man that authorities said occurred as the defendant was robbing the victim.

The (Johnstown) Tribune-Democrat says Thursday’s plea agreement in Cambria County Court involving 20-year-old Keenan Snyder of Johnstown also includes charges of robbery and unrelated traffic offenses.

Snyder was charged in a November 2011 break-in targeting Robert Kuharcik, who authorities said died of a heart attack in the process.

District Attorney?Kelly Callihan said the victim’s health problems made it difficult to pursue a conviction on more severe charges.
