ALLIANCES

Ohio Cultural Alliance will meet at 6 p.m. Nov. 4 for its dinner meeting at Old North Church, 7105 Herbert Road, Canfield. Dr. Alexander Patsov will discuss “Old World Traditions: Lost and Retained — Russian.” Cultural enrichment will be provided by St. Nicholas Balalaika Orchestra directed by Jane Malackany. Youngstown South Christian Women’s Connection will have a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. The theme is “For All Our Blessings, Give Thanks.” Artist Phyllis Beard of Boardman will be featured, and Anna Marie Francisco will provide music. Lake Milton Historical Society members will tour the Austin Log Cabin at 3797 S. Raccoon Road in Austintown on Thursday. Members can either meet at Halladay’s Winery at 10:30 a.m. to leave for the cabin or go directly to the cabin at 11. After the tour and a meeting, the group will go to Lucianno’s for lunch.

Mahoning County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will have its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Charles Church Ministry Building, 7325 Westview Drive, Boardman. Keith Kaiser of Fellows Riverside Gardens will present “A Gift of a Garden,” a history of Fellows Riverside Gardens and how it got started.
