CORTLAND

Alli Pavlik’s hat trick led Lakeview (13-3-1) past Poland. Sydney Paul and Rachel Braunegg tallied Lakeview’s other goals and Braunegg had two assists. Shannon Miller had two goals for Poland and Libby Rubesa had the third. Miranda Meffe made 10 saves for Lakeview and Miranda Easterbrook made 11 saves for Poland.

Division III

Cardinal Mooney 11, Youngstown Christian 3

YOUNGSTOWN

Seven Cardinals combined for the teams 11 goals in their blowout victory over Youngstown Christian. Lexy Herman, Julie Vazquez, Liz Philibin, and Taylor Sikich each scored twice for Mooney, while Brooke Overly, Renee Santisi, and Emilee Mulhall were credited with the other three. The second-seeded Cardinals advance to play the winner of Columbiana and Crestview.

HANOVERTON

KIRTLAND

Fourth-seeded Badger lost its tournament opener in a driving rain in the University Heights sectional-district. Kirtland (13-0-4) was led by Arianna Cubela with two goals and Karen Sanes with one. Izabella Armstrong had 11 saves in goal for the Braves (13-3-1).
