Pumpkin carving

Thursday-Saturday

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Drop in and carve a pumpkin or two for display. Dress in warm layers for carving in the Service Building. Carving tools will be available or bring your own.

Pumpkin carving for kids

(Ages 3 - 5 class)

Thursday, 1 to 2 p.m.

Oct. 26, 11 a.m. to noon

(Ages 6 - 11 class)

Oct. 26, 1:30 to 3 p.m.

Children will enjoy carving their own pumpkin to take home. As you and your child get creative, learn about what makes a pumpkin a pumpkin, taste test different flavors of pumpkin seeds, and see how many seeds your pumpkin has in our pumpkin seed counting contest.

Gardening Basics: Dahlias

Saturday, 2 to 4 p.m.

Learn the basics of growing, digging, dividing and storing dahlias. Master gardeners Stan and Linda Vuletich will share their knowledge and enthusiasm with gardeners of all levels as they take you on a tour of the display beds and dahlia garden. Each student will receive tubers to take home.

Pumpkin walk at twilight

Sunday, 5:30 to 8 p.m.

The whole family can stroll through Fellows Riverside Gardens and see more than 700 illuminated pumpkins.

Breakfast botany

Oct. 25, 8:30 to 10 a.m.

Start your morning with a brisk walk to see plants growing in the gardens. Return to the Garden Caf to enjoy a light breakfast.

Gardens in watercolor

Through Nov. 10

International artist Gary Bukovnik returns to bring his floral watercolor artwork to the Weller Gallery. Gary’s paintings express the movement of time and space as the flowers, leaves and stems appear to move on the paper.
