Hubbard man guilty of felonious assault and tampering with evidence

Staff report

WARREN

Francis Fasline, 22, of Wrenfield Drive in Hubbard has been found guilty in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court of felonious assault and tampering with evidence.

A jury deliberated about five hours before returning a verdict before Judge Ronald Rice, who ordered that Fasline’s bond be revoked and he be taken to the Trumbull County jail.

The Trumbull County Adult Probation Department will conduct a presentence investigation before Judge Rice sentences Fasline in about six weeks.

The charges stem from an incident Sept. 29, 2012, outside of Michael’s Bar on North Main Street in Hubbard in which James Capperes, 29, of Georgetown Street, Sharpsville, Pa., was hit by a car driven by Fasline after the two had an earlier confrontation.
