Dinner will assist Sylvia Maillis' family

WASHINGTONVILLE

A pasta dinner to benefit the family of Sylvia Maillis will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Washingtonville VFW Post 5532, 575 S. County Road.

Maillis, who worked for Wal-Mart in Salem, left a young daughter when she died tragically last month. Wal-Mart co-workers are sponsoring the benefit, which will include a basket auction and a 50-50 raffle.

Meals consist of rigatoni, salad, bread, dessert and punch or coffee, and prices are $7 for adults, $4 for children and free for kids under 2.
