Decision day in NJ’s accelerated US Senate race
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - New Jersey’s U.S. Senate race went to the voters today as both candidates characterized the race as a referendum on the partisan gridlock paralyzing Washington. Democrat Cory Booker and Republican Steve Lonegan each cast a ballot early in the morning in the special election to fill the seat of the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg, who died in June.
