Store employees stop accused robber

A Youngstown man faces a felony charge of robbery after he was caught stealing two energy drinks from Sparkle Market on Midlothian Boulevard, a Boardman police report says.

Employees of the grocery store stopped Michael Faiola, 29, on Saturday as he tried to walk out of the store without paying for the merchandise. Faiola tackled one employee in his attempt to flee the store, the report states. The employee suffered minor injuries, but was eventually able to detain him.

He was arraigned in Boardman court this morning on the robbery charge.
