Woman says accused killer cried about his mother

WARREN — A Warren woman who spent time with Louis Mann at two different motels in the hours after Mann allegedly killed his parents in 2011 testified today in his capital murder trial.

“He did feel bad. He cried about his mother,” but didn’t feel bad about killing his father, Atara Broadus testified in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

Mann’s wife, Tonya Mann, also testified today about the type of father Louis was to their three children and the drug addictions both of them had.

She also testified that her husband had tried to kill himself on more than one occasion, but he never blamed sex abuse as the reason for his despondency.
