Fitch remains fourth in Division I

Austintown Fitch’s big win over Massillon didn’t help the Falcons in the weekly Associated Press poll, but it certainly hurt the Tigers.

The Falcons remained the fourth-ranked team in Division I behind Lakewood St. Edward (6-0), Cincinnati Moeller (7-0) and Cincinnati Colerain (7-0), while Massillon (6-1) tumbled to sixth in Division II after occupying the top spot for the first four weeks.

Unbeaten Hubbard (third) and Poland (fifth) stayed in the same spots in Division III, setting up a meeting between two top-five teams on Friday.

No area teams were ranked in Division II or Division IV. Crestview is 12th in Division V.

South Range (7-0) moved up one spot in Division VI, leapfrogging Cleveland Villa Angela-St. Joseph (7-0) even though both teams won last weekend.

Western Reserve (7-0) remained in second in Division VII and Wellsville (6-1) moved from 10th to eighth.
