CANFIELD

St. Michael Church was the setting for the 1:30 p.m. May 25 ceremony of Kayla Turek of Canfield and Christopher Brown of Chicago.

The bride is the daughter of John and Sally Turek of Canfield, and the groom is the son of the Rev. Peter and Ann Brown of Charlotte, N.C.

The Rev. Terrence Hazel and the groom’s father officiated at the ceremony, and a reception followed at the Embassy in Struthers.

The bride’s ball gown featured a sweetheart neckline, beaded lace bodice and basque waist. A chapel length train completed the tulle skirt, which had a sequined sparkle underlay.

Courtney Larson, the bride’s sister, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Janice Baran, Alexsandra Camardo, Lynnette Enterline, Laura Graham, Elysia Shutrump and Lauren Walker. The attendants wore ice blue gowns with lavender sashes.

Russell Brown performed the duties of best man.

Groomsmen were Benjamin and Timothy Brown, brothers of the groom; Steven Monnich; Joseph Murdy; Brian Myers; and Nicholas Scaife.

The bride graduated summa cum laude from Thiel College with a bachelor’s degree in conservation biology. She also received a master’s degree in biology from Loyola University.

Her groom graduated magna cum laude from Thiel College with a bachelor of arts degree. He is a financial adviser for Thrivent Financial in Chicago.

After a wedding trip to Nova Scotia, the couple reside in Pittsburgh.
