Members of the Youngstown State men’s and women’s cross country teams will be competing at the Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic today.
Both the men’s and women’s races will be carried on ESPN3 and the Watch ESPN App.
The men’s 8K race is set to start at 7:45 a.m. while the women will run a 5K at 8:30 a.m.
YSU volleyball falls

Valparaiso swept the Youngstown State volleyball team 25-17, 28-26, 27-25 Friday.
Alexis Egler had 14 kills to lead all players, and Erika West registered a match-best 16 digs for YSU (10-9, 2-2 Horizon League).
Valparaiso (14-4, 3-1 HL) had three players with at least 12 kills with Morgan Biel and Ellen Vanden Berg finishing with 13 apiece.
The Penguins hit .228 as a team, but they struggled to stop Valpo’s attack for most of the match.
YSU came into the contest leading the Horizon League in blocks per set but didn’t record its first until the third set.
Prep soccer
Greg Babel scored four goals to lead the Crestview boys soccer team to a 5-1 win over Hubbard.
Caleb McGath also scored for the Rebels (12-2-1).
EJ Miller, Bable, Tony Marr, McGath and Nick Dean had one assist each.
Prep volleyball
The Western Reserve volleyball team defeated Columbiana 25-19, 25-11, 20-25, 25-15.
Aleah Hughes collected five kills, 15 points and five blocks while Kalina Wijniewski had eight kills and 12 blocks for the Blue Devils (18-2, 12-0).
For the Clippers (12-8, 9-5), Shayla Ray had 45 attacks and 15 digs while Hannah Hum was in with 25 attacks and 15 digs.
In another match, Girard defeated Champion 25-7, 25-19, 25-13.
For Girard Alasjia Dykes had 10 kills and a block while Alexus Crown assisted 16 times.
For Champion Brooke Scott collected six service points with two aces while Kristina Chapman had four kills and 14 digs.
Ebony Lifeline All-Sports Banquet set
YOUNGSTOWN
Thirteen individuals are scheduled for induction into the Ebony Lifeline All-Sports Banquet on Friday at Mount Carmel Social Hall.
The guest speaker will be Rev. Tyrone Claybrook, executive director of Heart Reach Ministry and a pediatric occupational therapist.
Master of Ceremonies will be former East High and Mount Union athlete Mark Brown.

Pair lift US to 2-0 victory over Jamaica
KANSAS CITY, Kan.
Graham Zusi and Jozy Altidore scored second-half goals to give the United States a 2-0 victory over Jamaica on Friday night and clinch first place for the Americans in their World Cup qualifying group for the third straight cycle.
The sides had played to a stalemate through the first 77 minutes before Alejandro Bedoya got the ball on the wing. He crossed to Zusi, whose shot from about 12 yards beat goalkeeper DuWayne Kerr and ignited his home-team crowd of 18,467 decked out in red, white and blue.
