Donations for animals to replace birthday party

Tammy Bernard Lipkovich of Girard is having a donations party for her birthday Oct. 26.

Instead of presents she is collecting supplies for the following local animal rescues:

• Animal Welfare League Shelter, 545 Brunstetter Road SW, Warren, OH 44481, 330-394-4122.

• Mahoning County Dog Pound & Adoption Center, 589 Industrial Road, Youngstown, OH 44509.

• New Lease On Life Rescue, 2777 Midlothian Blvd., Struthers, OH 44471, 330-397-8270.

• Second Chance Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 4867, Youngstown, OH 44515.

• Second Chance for Animals Canton, P.O. Box 35706, Canton, OH 44735, secondchance4animals@yahoo.com or 330-418-5552.

If you work at a business, own a business or would like to donate call her at 234-600-7647 for information on pickup. Donations can be delivered to boxes in her driveway labeled with each rescue Oct. 26. Leave your name or business information if you want to be listed on websites.

Those who want to donate money should check with one of the rescues or visit their websites for a Paypal or direct address. Please put in memo line of the check “Tammy Lipkovich Donation Drive” or she can deliver checks when she delivers supplies.

Following are some of the items needed:

Cleaning supplies

Bleach, paper towels, liquid laundry and dish soap, disinfectant, trash bags (33 gallon or larger), disposable gloves, brooms and dust pans, sponges and mops.

Pet supplies

Grooming supplies, dry and canned dog and cat food, cat litter, treats and toys, urine pads and Kong dog chew toys.

Miscellaneous supplies

Stamps, toilet paper, bandages, copy paper and envelopes, blank thank-you cards, towels and blankets, alcohol and cotton swabs, dryer sheets, jumbo smooth paper clips and manila folders.
