Trunk or Treat at Playhouse lot

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Playhouse in conjunction with the Idora Neighborhood Association will present Trunk or Treat from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the theater’s parking lot, off Glenwood Avenue.

Individuals, businesses and groups who want to participate can arrive in their vehicles, decorated for Halloween if possible, and pass out treats to the Idora neighborhood children. The goal is to provide a safe and secure place for children to show off their costumes and have fun collecting treats. Call 330-788-8739 to reserve a space.

YSU band, ensemble to present concert

YOUNGSTOWN

Dana School of Music will present a concert by Youngstown State University Concert Band and Wind Ensemble, conducted by Drandt Payne and Dr. Stephen L. Gage, at 8 p.m. Monday in Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave.

These groups include more than 100 woodwind, brass, piano, harp and percussion students. The concert is titled “Something Old, New, Borrowed & Blue.”

Tickets are available only at the door and are $4 or $6 (free with valid YSU ID.

Artoberfest at TAG

Artoberfest in the Rough will be from 2 p.m. to dusk Oct. 20 at Trumbull Art Gallery, 158-162 N. Park Ave. Visitors will experience the building’s grandeur and glimpse the beginning of its transformation into a community space.
