Canfield girls tie with Hickory

The Lady hornets of Hickory High School travelled to Canfield’s Bob Dove Stadium on Oct. 8. Going into the match the Lady Cardinals record 10-2-2, while Hickory boasts a 11-1-2 record. The final score was a 3-3 tie, after Canfield revitalized from a 3-1 deficit. Canfield had 18 shots to 8 for Hickory. Raquel Abel, goalie for Canfield produced to saves, while the Hickory keeper managed 5. Elena Billy, a senior captain had two goals and junior Bailey Fisher had one. Senior Erin McGraw and freshman Anita Mancini served assists.

Girls soccer defeats Austintown

The Canfield Lady Cardinals soccer team was victorious over the Lady Falcons with a score of 2-0 Oct. 3. Goalkeeper Raquel Abel had seven saves to six for the Falcons keeper. Anita Mancini served a beautiful pass to sister Sophia for the first goal. Paige Georgoff netted the second goal on a pass from Bailey Fisher. The cards current record is 10-2-1.

Girls cross country takes second

The Canfield girls cross country team placed second at the Girls District I Sectionals at Tamer Win Golf and Country Club Sept. 30. The top placer for Canfield was Christina Cooper in second.
