Boardman beats 10U Little Cards

The 10U Canfield Little Cardinals were defeated by the Boardman Little Spartans 12-8 on Oct. 6 at Boardman.

A fourth quarter punt return for a touchdown gave Boardman a hard fought win in the matchup.

Canfield had the ball to start the game and drove down the endzone. Logan Torok scored and then passed to Nathan Fiorenza for the conversion, 8-0. After an exchange of downs, the Spartans were able to score on a double reverse. The conversion failed.

Both teams fought back and forth. With two minutes to go in the game, Canfield punted and the Boardman returner was able to break free and reach the endzone. Canfield was unable to regain the lead in the remaining 1:50.

The Cardinals finished the regular season with a 4-3 record.
