Crime victim aid efforts get $774,454

COLUMBUS
The Ohio Attorney General’s Office has awarded $774,454 in grants for 2014 to 12 agencies in Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties that assist crime victims.
Trumbull County agencies receiving these funds are Trumbull County Prosecutor’s Office, $100,754; The Rape Crisis Team of Trumbull, $46,641; Someplace Safe, $113,858; and Warren Municipal Court, $23,475.
Mahoning County recipients are Help Hotline Crisis Center, $44,427; Children and Family Services, $151,709; Mahoning County Prosecutor’s Office, $114,649; and the Mahoning County Court-Appointed Special Advocate Program, $12,230.
Columbiana County recipients are Columbiana County Prosecutor’s Office, $75,101; Catholic Charities’ Christina House, $55,821; East Liverpool Law Director’s Office, $33,809; and Columbiana County Juvenile Court, $1,980.
These were among 276 agencies receiving $17.7 million worth of grants statewide.
