Man arrested on drug charges

YOUNGSTOWN —A Rome, Ohio, man, was arrested on drug charges after he was found passed out in a car on the South Side about 11:45 a.m. Wednesday with a needle still in his arm.

Paramedics told police when they found 37-year-old Roy Hansen in his car at a home in the 100 block of Willis Avenue he also had a phone charger wrapped around his arm as a tourniquet and that two men and a woman next to his car ran away when they arrived.

Reports said Hansen told police he had a seizure and passed out and someone stuck the needle in his arm. He admitted coming from Ashtabula to buy heroin, reports said.

He was taken to a hospital to be examined and a hold was placed on him on the charge of possession of drugs heroin and he also had a license suspension for failure to pay child support.
