Bishop Franzetta lecture series to feature Walsh University president
YOUNGSTOWN
The Catholic Diocese of Youngstown announces the fifth annual lecture of the Bishop Benedict C. Franzetta Memorial Lecture Series at 6 p.m. Nov. 3 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel social hall, 343 Via Mount Carmel.
The series, established by Bishop George V. Murry in 2009, is designed to further the Church’s mission of evangelization.
Bishop Franzetta served as auxiliary bishop of Youngstown from Sept. 4, 1980, until his retirement on Sept. 4, 1996. He died Sept. 26, 2006, at 85. His motto, “Into Your Hands, Lord,” was taken from Luke 23:46.
Richard Jusseaume, president of Walsh University, will speak on “Higher Catholic Education.”
