Boardman Police reported finding the body of a 22-year-old male in a wooded area on Southern Boulevard near Romaine Avenue.
They would not release more information.
Vindicator’s news partner, 21 WFMJ-TV, said detectives got a call at 11 a.m. that someone had found the body near railroad tracks that run through the area.
Driver cited with OVI in two-car crash
NORTH LIMA
A two-car crash in Beaver Township resulted in an Operating a Vehicle Impaired charge for one driver, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.
The accident happened at 12:30 p.m. on South Avenue near Pine Lake Road.
There were no serious injuries.
William Sherrill, 27, of Columbiana was charged, the patrol reported. There were no accident details available Saturday evening.
Armed robbery at Dollar General probed

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occured Friday at the Dollar General on McGuffey Road.
The store manager told them two men wearing hoodies walked into the store around 10:30 p.m. and told him he had three seconds to open the register as they pointed guns at him.
The manager said cash was taken from the register and the safe.
They also stole the manager’s wallet.

A car hit a house at the corner of Crandall Avenue and Wirt Street on the North Side, police said.
The accident happened at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Police had no other information Saturday evening.
Woman, 77, dies in fire at her home

A 77-year-old woman died in a fire at her home on Homewood Avenue early Saturday morning, 21 WFMJ-TV, the Vindicator’s news partner, reported.
The woman summoned help using a medical emergency alert system, but first responders could not save her. Her name had not been released, WFMJ reported.
Woman rescued from McKelvey Lake

Police rescued a 53-year-old woman who jumped off a Jacobs Road bridge into McKelvey Lake on Saturday.
A witness saw her jump and called police, who pulled her out of the water, a police report says. She survived and was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center. Her son, meanwhile, called 911 to report finding a suicide note, the report said.
