Warren rapist, 64, denied parole for at least 10 more years

WARREN
William W. Fisher Jr., 64, a former Warren man convicted of seven rapes over two decades, will not be eligible for parole for 10 more years after refusal of the Ohio Parole Board to let him loose.
Fisher’s case is one of the most unusual ones in county history, according to Dennis Watkins, Trumbull County prosecutor.
Fisher, who lived on Homewood Avenue in Warren when he raped his daughter and another girl in the 1980s, fled from Warren after being indicted for those crimes.
He was arrested again in the 1990s after returning to Warren and being charged with raping three other children in 1993.
He was convicted of seven rapes in 1995, as well as two counts of attempted rape and other charges related to changing his identity to elude capture.
“He is a multigenerational sexual predator whose middle name should be changed to recidivist with a capital R,” Watkins wrote in a letter to the parole board. “This man deserves to die in prison.”
