Golf outing benefits nonprofits

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR The inaugural John Essick Memorial Golf Outing took place in late September at Pleasant View Golf Club in Louisville, Ohio. It was established to honor the Alliance native, a graduate of Alliance High School and the University of Mount Union. He was director of Alliance Chapter of the American Red Cross, a member of Christ United Methodist Church and past president of Alliance Lions Club. Proceeds go to the Alliance Lions Club and Alliance Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice. Above, Jan Essick, the honoree’s daughter, takes her turn as guest putter on the 18th hole.
