Companies team up for football camps

MKU Athletics and House of Speed in Youngstown are partnering to put on their first football camps for athletes in grades three through 12.

The House of Speed/MKU Football Academy, hosted at the Mayor Ralph A. Infante Wellness Center in Niles, will take place over five days in late December and feature drills and an NFL-style combine.

The academy for third-through eighth-graders will run from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 23, 26, 27, 30 and 31. The camp for high school athletes will follow from 1 to 3 p.m.

Interested athletes may register at the Youngstown House of Speed website.

Gas prices increase

NEW YORK

At the gas pump, the average price of a gallon of gasoline is $3.28. That’s up 4 cents from a week ago but down 13 cents from this time last year.
