Campbell police arrest Youngstown man on Thanksgiving

CAMPBELL — A Youngstown man was arrested in the early afternoon on Thanksgiving Day for driving with a half-full can of beer on the front seat.

When police pulled over 53-year-old Jonathan Charles Evans, of Ridge Avenue, for failing to stop at the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Coitsville Road at 1:18 p.m. Thursday, they found that Evans had an expired driver’s license and an active warrant out of Trumbull County.

Evans was cited for the two traffic citations, and also for driving with an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle — a minor misdemeanor.
