Snowfall this month is eighth heaviest for November in Mahoning Valley history
VIENNA
Tuesday’s heavy snow in the region has made this month the eighth snowiest November in recorded weather history for the Mahoning Valley, dating back to 1898. Early today, the National Weather Service at Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport reported a total of 5.4 inches of snow fell in the region Tuesday, bringing this month’s total to 10.6 inches. That is 7.9 inches above the average snowfall for the month. Last year, only 2.6 inches of snow fell on the Mahoning Valley in November.
More snow is expected today.
