Prodnick charged with assault in Wonder Bar altercation

WARREN

Robert A. Prodnick Jr., 29, of 102 W. Liberty St. in Girard has been indicted on a misdemeanor assault charge in a Sept. 17 incident at the Wonder Bar on West Liberty Street in Girard.

Girard police charged Prodnick with causing serious injuries to Amos J. Gramelt, 29, of Beechwood Drive in Girard, at the bar.

Police said Prodnick was arguing with a woman before the assault, and Gramelt intervened on her behalf.

Gramelt’s injuries left him in intensive care at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Girard police said.

The case returns to Girard Municipal Court since the grand jury declined to indict Prodnick on any felonies.
