WARREN

Police charged James R. Headley, 48, of Hiram Avenue in Niles with burglary after a man reported seeing him backing out of a driveway on Comstock Street NW at 12:17 p.m. Tuesday and discovered someone had broken into a nearby house.

Police later saw Headley in the 800 block of Adams Street Northwest trying to sell items that had allegedly been taken from the home on Comstock, according to a police report.

Police then found Headley hiding in an Adams Street home and found a laptop computer nearby that had been stolen on Comstock.

Police also found a crack pipe, rolling papers and suspected crack cocaine in Headley’s clothes. He was taken to the Trumbull County jail and is expected to be arraigned today in Warren Municipal Court.

Also taken from the home on Comstock were two game systems and other computer equipment.
