Ice rally to defeat Phantoms in OT

The Indiana Ice rallied from a two-goal deficit in the third period of Wednesday’s USHL hockey game to defeat the Youngstown Phantoms, 4-3 in overtime.

Tyler Pham scored the winning goal 61 seconds into the extra session at Bankers Life Fieldhouse (home of the NBA’s Indiana Pacers).

Kyle Connor scored two goals in the second period to give the Phantoms (7-11-3, 17 points) a 3-1 lead.

But the Ice (9-5-3, 21 points) scored twice in the final 7:41 of regulation as Timothy Shoup and Tyler Andrew scored against Phantoms goaltender Colin DeAugustine.

Maxim Letunov scored the Phantoms’ first goal.

The Phantoms have the weekend off and will return to the ice on Dec. 6 at the Covelli Centre against the Chicago Steel.
