Youngs- town State University is included on a national list of Online Colleges That Win on Affordability.

The list was developed by AffordableCollegesOnline.org after an analysis of online degree programs at more than 2,000 accredited colleges and universities across the country.

“YSU offers an exceptional collection of distance learning options at a very affordable price,” Dan Schuessler, founder and chief executive of AC Online, said in a news release. “Our sincerest congratulations on being one of today’s leaders in affordable distance learning.”

It is the second time this year that AC Online has included YSU in one of its rankings. Over the summer, YSU was noted as a top school for providing the greatest lifetime return on investment.

YSU offers seven fully online degree programs.

Millie Rodriguez, YSU director of distance education, said YSU’s approach to online learning is to support the delivery of high-quality, accredited, fully online degree programs, and to provide world-class customer service to assist in the gainful employment of YSU online learners.

“At YSU, we offer both high quality and highly sought after degree programs,” she said in a news release. “We offer world-class faculty and top-notch student service through our Office of Distance Education.”

Rodriguez said that, in the next five years, YSU expects to develop more online program offerings that will be unique, media rich and state-of-the-art in terms of design, development and delivery.

“We also expect them to remain affordable and be exceptionally diverse in our student population by hopefully seeing enrollments from all 50 states and many other countries,” she added.

AC Online analyzed data from many sources to develop its list of the most affordable online colleges, including the National Center for Education Statistics, the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System and the Carnegie Classification systems.
