Somer McCoy had 12 points, five rebounds and four assists to lead LaBrae over Campbell. Maddie Kiser added 16 points and seven rebounds for the Vikings. Tatyana Nelko led the Red Devils with 11 points and nine rebounds. Tashonna Craft added 10 points and five assists.

Liberty 70, McDonald 34

LIBERTY

Leah Leshnack had 20 points and Rachel Crum scored 18 for Liberty in its win over McDonald. Mackenzie Stanley and Marcy Dykes each added 10 points for the Leopards. Sara Joseph and Brenna Rype led the Blue Devils with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

YOUNGSTOWN

Trailing 29-13 at halftime, the Irish (0-2) pulled within seven points by virtue of an 11-2 third quarter as Tanaya Beacham scored nine of her game-high 16 points and grabbed six of her 14 rebounds. Perry (2-0), however, was able to maintain a lead of at least seven throughout the fourth quarter. Airelle Sidley had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Panthers.

Youngstown Christian 65, Warren JFK 35

YOUNGSTOWN

Destinee Snyder scored 19 points and Kayla Rios added 18 for Youngstown Christian, which opened a 26-10 lead by halftime. JFK was led by Antonella Lamonica who scored 21 points, including five 3-pointers.

Alli Pavlik had 17 points and four assists and Calli Schmitt added eight points and nine rebounds as the Bulldogs (2-0) rolled. Addison Becker added nine points and Abby Pavlik and Jensen Silbaugh had four assists apiece. Maya Bell scored nine points and grabbed 13 rebounds for Harding (0-1).

Champion 61, Niles 54

CHAMPION

The Flashes improved to 2-0 with a balanced scoring effort. Izzy D’Urso, Milly Williams and Emma Nicholas scored 13, 12 and 11 points, respectively for Champion. They raced out to a 38-19 halftime lead and held off a fourth quarter run from Niles (0-1). They out-rebounded Niles 36-29.

Leetonia 47, East Palestine 36

EAST PALESTINE

The Bears held off Emily Weber’s 18 points for East Palestine and got 12 of their own from Autumn Chapman and 11 from Emily Schneider to improve to 2-0. Leetonia knocked down 23 free-throw attempts.
