An aggravated robbery occurred about 3:20 p.m. Sunday as a 21-year-old man was moving into an apartment building on Midlothian Boulevard, according to police reports.

The victim told police that as he was taking things into the building, he noticed a black male with teardrop tattoo marks around his eyes standing in the stairwell. The man asked the victim if he wanted help; the victim declined.

When the victim came into the building a second time, the victim said the man put something that felt like a gun into his back and said, “Give me all of what you have.” The victim said he didn’t have anything and the man took his cellphone.

Robbed at gunpoint

YOUNGSTOWN

A 20-year-old man was walking a female friend home about 11:20 p.m. Saturday on East Florida near Homestead when the two became aware that two men were following them. The man told his female friend to walk ahead, which she did.

One of the men approached the victim, pointed a semiautomatic handgun at him and said, “Give me everything in your pockets.” The second man also pointed a semiautomatic handgun at the victim. The victim gave up a wallet with identification and a lighter. The two men walked away.

Assault reported

YOUNGSTOWN

A 41-year-old female reported to police that she had been assaulted about 4 p.m. Saturday while walking to a store on Hillman Street near Judson Avenue. She said a dark-gray four-door car pulled up to her and two men got out. One said, “Let me holler at you,” and the other punched her in the face.

The victim told police she had a falling-out with a female friend who had threatened her. The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Jailed on charges

YOUNGSTOWN

Jacques Karron Davoe, 32, of Youngstown will appear in municipal court today on charges of driving under suspension, possession of dangerous drugs, trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs-cocaine after a traffic stop about midnight Saturday near Buckeye Circle. He is in the Mahoning County jail.

Police on patrol noticed Davoe’s car had no rear license plate, and a traffic stop was initiated. Police saw him moving around in the vehicle. Davoe identified himself by another name, and a check revealed the photo did not match Davoe.

The sister of the registered car owner arrived on the scene and identified Davoe. A check revealed outstanding warrants in municipal court and Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

Police also found a bag of marijuana and eight individual plastic bags of marijuana, an unmarked bottle with 63 tramadol pills and a small purse with cocaine.

Trooper accident

AUSTINTOWN

The Hiram Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle patrol car accident that occurred at 3:04 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 76 East. The Austintown Fire Department responded.

A trooper from the Hiram post was attempting to stop Ronald Spencer, 41, of Canton for a marked-lanes violation, and Spencer fled.

Stop sticks were deployed at milepost 221 eastbound; Spencer struck the sticks, deflating the left side tires on his car. Spencer was taken into custody without incident.

The pursuing trooper swerved to avoid the sticks, lost control and went off the left side of the road into the grassy median. The patrol car came to rest on its roof. The trooper sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Milton Twp. fire

A structure fire was reported at 7:11 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Myrtle Avenue at an occupied residence.

Trumbull County emergency dispatch said fire departments from Milton Township, Newton Falls township and city, Warren Township, Braceville and Weathersfield responded.

Information on injuries and damage was unavailable.

Car fire in Pa.

FINDLEY TOWNSHIP, pa.

Mercer County 911 reported a car fire with entrapment at 7:05 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 79 near milepost 119.

Mercer state police had no other details.

Office relocated

ACTION, a grass-roots community organization, has relocated its office to 20 Federal Plaza on the mezzanine floor.

Virtual food drive

BOARDMAN

TGI Fridays, 7165 Tiffany Blvd., on Friday presented $231 raised by its Virtual Canned Food Drive to Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley.

The campaign was a communitywide effort in which a can of food was donated anytime someone “liked” Facebook.com/EatAtTGIFridays. In addition, TGI Fridays also donated a can for every like the TGI Fridays Boardman local pages received.
