Surprise party marks 65th year for Jugenheimers

William and Alice Jugenheimer of Hubbard were honored by family members Nov. 16 with a surprise celebration for their 65th wedding anniversary.

The couple have three children: Larry (Mildred) Jugenheimer, Richard Jugenheimer and Glen (Margie) Jugenheimer, all of Hubbard. They also have nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Jugenheimer, whose maiden name was Alice Dale, is retired. She had worked for Mott Robertson Ice Cream in Sharon, Pa., and is a member of a bowling league.

Mr. Jugenheimer retired in 1994 from Jugenheimer Industrial Supplies Inc. in Hubbard, which he founded in 1976 with his three sons. He also had worked for General Electric, Dial Fencing, Cavanaugh, All-Pro Sales and S&B Fasteners. He worked in construction and was part owner of State Industrial Supplies and owner of Toy and Hobby Town in Hubbard.

He is a former safety director of Hubbard, and he served on the Mahoning Valley Economic Development Committee and on the Hubbard Zoning Board.

The Jugenheimers are members of Hubbard United Methodist Church, the Home Builders Association and the Happy Wanderers. They initiated Cub Scouting in Hubbard.

The couple were married Nov. 13, 1948, at the United Methodist Church in Youngstown.
