Marijuana mailed to woman

A 28-year-old West Side woman called police to complain that she received about 1 pound of marijuana she did not order in a vacuum-sealed bag inside an express mail box.

Police went to the woman’s North Hartford Avenue address Friday afternoon, took the box and placed it on their evidence room floor outside of a locker because of its size. Police asked the woman if she had had any recent house guests, and she replied she had not. The woman told police she has resided at the address where she received the box for seven years.
