Reports say a man was shot at a home in the Brier Hill section of the North Side late Thursday evening after two women had a dispute and one of the women left.
Robert Mogg, 47, is being treated for his wounds at St. Elizabeth Health Center after he was shot at his home in the 1100 block of Turin Avenue about 11:05 p.m. Thursday.
Officers who responded found Mogg lying in a bedroom with a gunshot wound to his back. Witnesses said two men came to the home and knocked on the door loudly.
Mogg told the people inside the home to get into a bedroom, and the witnesses then heard several gunshots, reports said. Mogg then walked into the bedroom wounded.
Other witnesses inside told police a woman had a dispute with another woman who was drunk, and tried to stop the drunken woman from walking home, reports said. The drunken woman punched the other woman in the mouth, and Mogg stepped in to stop the punching, reports said.
The drunken woman then fell down, and her husband came to pick her up, reports said. After she left, Mogg got a call from someone threatening him, reports said.
Mogg then told the people in the house right before he was shot if anything happened they needed to go into the bedroom.
Police still are looking for the suspects.
