NORTH EAST OHIO COALITION ON RESCUE AND RESTORE Some facts

The mission of the coalition is to create awareness of human trafficking through education and work with law enforcement.

Human trafficking facts:

80 percent of victims in the sex industry are female, and more than 50 percent are children.

An estimated 1,000 Ohio-born children become victims every year.

In Ohio, 88 percent of human trafficking involves sex slavery, and 84 percent of the victims are Ohio-born.
