C.H. Campbell Elementary School students got creative this Halloween for the school’s annual pumpkin decorating contest. With no limitations on how they could decorate their pumpkins, the students went all out decorating their pumpkins at home and then brought them to school to be displayed.

The pumpkins could not be carved so the students turned to paint, glitter, ribbons, bows and several other art elements and props.

Among the large variety of approximately 200 pumpkins on display were Minions, mummies, superheroes, farm animals, witches, cats and dogs, footballs, baseballs, Angry Birds, penguins, pirates and several Ohio State, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers and Canfield Cardinals themed pumpkins.

Every pumpkin entry received an award, such as the Best Little Cards, Best Papa Smurf, Tastiest Treat, Best Wahib Waddlers, Best Wicked Teeth Witch, Most Fluffy Sheep, Most Creative Witch, Number One Fluffy Cat and Most Creative Disney Characters.

The pumpkins were on display at the school until after the classroom Halloween parties Oct. 31.
