Boar’s Head tickets will go on sale

Tickets go on sale Monday for the 53rd annual Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival, which will be 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Jan. 5 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave.

Prices are $6 for the performance only, and $17.50 for dinner and the performance.

Dinner will be served at 3:15 p.m. and will include roast beef and wassail.

Tickets are available at the church office from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until noon Friday; or send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to the church, Attn: Boar’s Head (ZIP is 44503-1095). Indicate performance time and make check payable to St. John’s Episcopal Church.

Deadline is Dec. 26.

One of the longest-running such festivals in the country, the event features the Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival Choir and Brass, and the Salem Youth Chorus.

Bagpipers, drummers, and 100 parishioners dressed in medieval costume are part of the show.
