Boardman police arrest woman for taking money from inn

BOARDMAN

Boardman police arrested a 27-year-old woman on Thursday after she was accused of forgery and receiving stolen property, two felony charges.

Amanda Smith, of Lemoyne Avenue, Boardman, was arraigned on the charges in Mahoning County Court Boardman on Thursday. Smith is accused of taking $280 from her former employer at Days Inn on South Avenue in October.

Smith’s boss told police this was not the first time she took money from the business, but it was the first time charges were pressed against her for doing so.
