Lines of bargain hunters already forming in Ohio

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio (AP) — A little encampment of hearty souls is growing outside a northeast Ohio Best Buy, already queuing up for next week’s Thanksgiving sale.

Jonas Allooh pitched his 10-man tent just to the left of the front doors of the store in Cuyahoga Falls on Monday and fired up his gas generator and space heater. That was a full 10 days before the store opens on Thanksgiving evening.

By Tuesday there was a second tent, and The Akron Beacon Journal reports that family and friends are expected to join the campers in the line as the week progresses.

Store manager Josh Parker said the bargain hunters are a little ahead of schedule this year. He said he doesn’t mind the campers because they build excitement for the sale.
